About Virtual Norwegian

Welcome to Virtual Norwegian! The virtual airline that models the real airline Norwegian in flight simulators.
Norwegian was funded in 1993 as a regional airline taking over routes in Western Norway after the bankruptcy of Busy Bee. Until 2002, Norwegian operated Fokker 50 aircraft on wet lease for Braathens. From 2002, Norwegian began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft.

Our operations are mixed with everything from shorter domestic flights to longer flights. We offer lots of unique routes to 190 destinations throughout Europe. The seasonal changes to our route portfolio creates a high diversity.

We have around 140 aircraft in our fleet and a lot of new aircraft on order. Our fleet consists of Embraer E190-E2, DeHavilland Dash 8 Q400, DeHavilland Dash 8 Q300, DeHavilland Dash 8 Q200, DeHavilland Dash 8 Q100, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX 8, aircraft. You are also welcome to fly the Boeing 737-300, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Fokker 50 and McDonnell Douglas MD-83 from our historic fleet.
We are currently leasing Airbus A320-200 as well.

Fun facts

• Our aircraft are referred to as "Red Nose" because the front (the "nose") is painted red
• The tail fins on our aircraft feature a portrait of a hero that has challenged the established and inspired others
